- What is the Premise of the book? What if the Apollo Moon Landings turned out to be a hoax, and the conspiracy theory was that it really did happen? The Plot blurb is here.
- Where does the title come from? Have you ever seen the film: A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Moon? It’s a documentary about how the Apollo Moon Landings were a hoax perpetrated by the government. The name of the documentary comes from a book of anecdotes from people involved with the space program by Bob Ward (and was not about the Moon landings being a hoax). Its title probably was a play on A Funny Thing Happened on the way to the Forum which was a musical in the 1960s.
- Is this book a sequel to ATML and ATMH? No. It’s completely standalone. It does, however, happen in the same world (100+ years later than ATMH). There are no characters from the previous two books, and it has a more serious tone. It is not necessary to read either of my previous two novel (but please do!).
- Does this book have too many sci-fi and pop-culture references like ATML and ATMH? None. The future sucks. They don’t have time for TV or Movies.
- Have you ever worked for a soul-sucking corporation bent on world domination? Yes, but it was too incompetent to take over the world.
- Do you believe we actually went to the Moon? The book is fiction, but which answer will sell more books?
