I think Peter Clines is best known for his Ex Series (Ex-Heros, Ex-Patriots, Ex-Communication, Ex-Purgatory, and Ex-Isle), but my favorites (so far) are 14 and The Fold. They are related and in the same universe, but The Fold is not a sequel to 14 (but read 14 first anyway). I highly recommend them both.
